Kimberly Veloz

(Math Tutor and Beginner Piano Teacher)

Hi! I am so excited you are here. I am the CEO and Founder of Learning Wins. It started with a love of math and a want to help others understand it. I struggled in school so I get it when students don't have it come naturally. I have been tutoring math since 2008 and have been doing it to support my family since 2015. Along with math, I have been teaching beginner piano since 2015. I love to help my students find a love for music and piano.

Joanna Salmon

(Piano Teacher/Elementary Education and English Tutor)

Mrs. Salmon is a mother of four children. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Child and Adolescent Studies and spent several years doing short and long-term substitute positions at two K-8 charter schools. In one work assignment, she began one on one tutoring for children with IEPs in a school. In this position, she gained a love for working one on one because she saw the huge strides students make when they get personal attention. She believes learning is different for all children and that all children respond differently.  She works to assess each student's individual needs and learning styles so they can succeed.  Mrs. Salmon has experience homeschooling 2 of her own children and therefore loves offering support to parents who choose this route.

Pamela McMullin

(Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Piano Teacher)

This is Pamela McMullin. She began piano lessons when she was 5 years old and she has been teaching piano since she graduated high school. She has taught both piano students in her home and at a music school. She received her Bachelor's degree at Cal State San Bernardino with Music as her concentration. She loves teaching piano and performing as well. A fun little fact, her husband and her both play piano and love singing musicals together.  Their house is definitely a home full of music.

Deborah Joya

(Teacher and Tutor)

Deborah Joya has over 11 years of experience teaching and tutoring math, physics, and chemistry at the high school and college level, and has a bachelor's degree in Engineering as well as a master's degree in Materials Science. She has also been leading Yoga, Meditation, and Chi Gong for over 20 years and currently has her classes online. Deborah left engineering to teach because she is passionate about helping others succeed at whatever they are pursuing, from education to well-being.  One of her favorite things about teaching math and science is when a student realizes either they CAN do it or they may even LIKE doing it!
